Koreatown has no shortage of coffee shops, and a new contender recently entered the Vermont Plaza strip mall.
Cafe One:Scape, fresh off their grand opening, serves up classic coffee shop fare like lattes, flat whites, and artisanal pastries. What sets One:Scape apart from the scads of coffee shops and boba tea joints in the neighborhood is their signature cream top, that includes matcha cream.

The inventive menu has cool and hot drinks, sweet treats, and more for every palate. Matcha pairs up with different flavors like classic hazelnut, TikTok trend strawberry, and literal tiramisu. Peanut butter lovers can rejoice, as you can order a Nutty Twist, an espresso drink layered with rich cream and smooth peanut butter. Seasonal cheesecakes are offered with more tea-themed desserts, like Earl Grey and matcha tiramisus in addition to a revolving door of artisanal croissants, donuts, and more from their partner pastry chefs.

One:Scape strives to be a sweet escape from the chaos of downtown LA, as the Vermont Corridor is one of the busiest thoroughfares in the entire city and it is close to Wilshire Boulevard, an equally busy thoroughfare. The calm beige interior and a small outdoor seating area offer patrons some respite with Instagrammable tall drinks garnished with edible flowers, chocolate shavings, and even cotton candy resembling their cloud theme.
Cafe One:Scape is located on 401 S Vermont Avenue, inside Vermont Plaza, on the corner of Vermont Avenue and 4th Street, and they are open daily from 8AM to 9PM.
