Trader Joe’s fans in the Valley have something to look forward to—the beloved grocery chain is set to open new locations in 2025, with more possibly arriving in 2026.
Three new stores are coming to the Valley, per a Trader Joe’s spokesperson. The first one is slated to open in Sherman Oaks, followed by Northridge. The company also just announced that they plan to open a Tarzana store as well.
The expansion to the Valley is part of a larger plan to expand in SoCal altogether. Eight stores are planned for Southern California with 16 other stores elsewhere in a rapid expansion campaign. Of the eight SoCal stores, the most recent are in South Pasadena and Canyon Country.
These new stores come amid other large commercial expansions throughout the San Fernando Valley. The Valley hasn’t embraced mixed-use development as much as neighborhoods south of the 101 have, but new rental and condo complexes and Metro expansions could incite a change of heart, with destination grocery stores like Trader Joe’s making the prospect more attractive.
There are no definitive opening dates yet for the new Trader Joe’s stores, but they will be in the following locations:
Sherman Oaks: 14140 Riverside Drive, near Westfield Fashion Square
Northridge: 9224 Reseda Boulevard, near Cal State Northridge
Tarzana: 18700 Ventura Boulevard, inside Village Walk Shopping Center
