BLVD Steak has quietly announced its launch in Sherman Oaks. The restaurant will be opening in Sherman Oaks along Ventura Boulevard at 13817 Ventura Blvd. The prominent corner building was previously home to the popular Mexican food and drink spot Te’Kila, who abruptly closed their Sherman Oaks outpost at the end of 2022.
Te’kila opened in Sherman Oaks in 2016 and still has another location open in Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd.
As for BLVD Steak, the concept is by restaurateur Christian Corben, who is also known for nearby spots Taisho, a modern Japanese restaurant, and Casita, a modern Mexican eatery. Not much is yet known about BLVD Steak, but if it is anything like Corben’s previous projects in the neighborhood, expect a well-designed, trendy and sleek hotspot with a modern and sophisticated food and drink menu.
