Culver City has no shortage of independent and chain coffee shops, and a new chain contender is almost done setting up on the main drag: semi-upscale fast-casual coffee and sandwich shop Joe & The Juice is opening a new store on Culver Boulevard.
The Danish chain founded at the turn of the millennium has a global presence, with approximately 400 stores worldwide and 65 stores in the United States at the time of writing. With a focus on fresh ingredients and a comprehensive menu of juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and healthy snacks, there’s more emphasis on “the juice” part than “Joe” although coffee and matcha lattes are indeed among their offerings.
Given that you’ll sooner find a macro-balanced sandwich on whole-grain bread than a show-stopping croissant at Joe & The Juice, it’s no wonder their US expansion has a heavy focus on SoCal.
The new store will be located just north of the corner of Culver Boulevard and Main Street on 9345 Culver Boulevard, two blocks from the Culver City Metro station and clustered among numerous shopping, dining, and co-working options. With Culver City being the gateway to the west side and standing epicenter of the LA’s once-indomitable film industry, Joe & The Juice’s new location is incredibly strategic for catching morning commuters, studio lunch rushes, and locals who want quick and healthy fare.
Opening is estimated to be mid-late October 2025.
