Another New York City transplant is making waves here in Los Angeles. In this case, they’re also making plenty of New York style pizza. Prince Street Pizza recently opened at 12067 Ventura Place in Studio City, Los Angeles.
Ventura Place may be a side street off the perpetually busy corner of Ventura and Laurel Canyon Boulevards, but this side street is quickly taking center stage with eateries like Tuning Fork LA, McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, and Alfred Coffee all operating here. Shake Shack will also soon be joining the Studio City retail landscape a little further down Ventura Blvd.
Prince Street Pizza is best known for their Sicilian-style square pizzas with playful names that evoke various New York landmarks. Some of their most famous pizzas include the Spicy Spring with fra diavolo sauce and spicy pepperoni, the Mercer Margherita with fresh garlic and pecorino romano cheese, and the Broadway Breadcrumb Pie. In addition to their famed square pizzas, Prince Street Pizza serves classic Neapolitan style (round) pizzas, personal-sized pizzetas, and fried mozzarella balls.
Prince Street Pizza opened their first restaurant at 27 Prince Street in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood in 2012. They quickly gained fans with their uniquely spicy and zesty square pizzas, and eventually Prince Street Pizza’s original location began to draw long lines outside like clockwork. In 2020, Prince Street Pizza arrived on the West Coast with their first LA location in West Hollywood. They’ve since expanded further with 3 more LA outposts, plus restaurants in Miami and San Diego, and another location that will open in Las Vegas this fall.
Since opening their fourth Los Angeles area restaurant here in Studio City, Prince Street Pizza has already begun to make a name for themselves at Ventura Place. They’re currently open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day for pickup and delivery.
