Actor Aaron Paul is letting go of his beloved Spanish Revival home in the Los Feliz Hills, originally known as the Seyler House. This three-bedroom, four-bathroom residence was one of the first hillside properties in the neighborhood and remains a rare example of early Los Angeles residential architecture. Priced at $9,995,000, 2666 Aberdeen Ave, Los Angeles, is listed by Jenna Cooper at Compass.

Aaron Paul told Mansion Global that the house holds deep personal meaning for him and his family, highlighting its century-old garden and original finishes as central to its character. Over time, the property has been home to a number of Hollywood figures, including Tim Curry, Robert Pattinson, Noah Wyle, Oscar-winning cinematographer Robert Richardson, and Jim Parsons, from whom Paul purchased it in 2019. The Seyler House carries both architectural and star-studded history.

Soon after moving in, Paul and his wife brought in Los Angeles–based Commune Design to update the interior. The design studio worked within the home’s Spanish Colonial framework, introducing contemporary conveniences while respecting the building’s original character. The renovation focused on enhancing functionality and adding durable materials that would still fit the original structure.

Many original features remain, including arched windows, French doors, stained glass, terracotta tile, and exposed wood beams. The exterior walls are still covered in ivy, and the foyer retains its black-and-white tile. Hand-painted ceilings and wood detailing are present throughout the main gathering spaces, giving the interior a strong connection to the home’s 1920s era.

The ground level features a series of public rooms that open to patios and terraces. There is a den and media room, a paneled card room, and an en-suite guest bedroom. The updated eat-in kitchen connects directly to a private outdoor dining area, emphasizing the SoCal indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

Upstairs, the primary suite offers a private balcony, a period-appropriate bath (with updated amenities), and a spacious dressing area. A second bedroom suite on this floor also has a renovated bathroom that overlooks the garden, offering a more secluded atmosphere.

The grounds extend across nearly 1.5 acres and include a freeform pool, cold plunge, amphitheater, outdoor fireplace, koi pond, and multiple patios. Original plantings have grown and matured for more than a century, while the fairytale-style, winding paths connect open spaces with private seating areas.

The Seyler House is a significant example of Los Feliz’s early development and Hollywood’s luxury residential history. The property combines preserved details, thoughtful upgrades, and a notable celebrity history. Its striking aesthetic value is only a part of what makes the home so special.
