DTLA has no shortage of fine dining destinations old and new, like the Cicada Club and Mrs. Fish. LA’s downtown core has something for every budget and taste alongside venues that draw massive amounts of people, whether it’s national fast food chains you can hit up on the way to LA Live or a mid-budget spot after a show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The latest contender in the DTLA dining scene, however, strives to combine both dinner and show and not in an off-Broadway dinner theatre fashion.
The Gallery on Olympic and Olive looks like any other bar and grill in DTLA from the outside. Indoors, a 7,500-square foot experience awaits that was designed by former Disney employees and interactive media professionals. The Horizon, a bar and restaurant that seats 55 people, is available by reservation or dropping in for happy hour, after a show downtown, or The Gallery’s main event in their 80-seat theatre, “Elementa”.

Elementa is a scored visual experience paired with a two-hour, five-course meal designed by an executive chef with prior experience at the Ritz-Carlton. The meal, songs, and visuals are based on the five elements of water, earth, fire, air, and the aether. According to the designers, “Guests step into a wonderland that challenges the depths of reality, intertwined with flights of fantasy.
Tables, ceilings, and walls come to life amidst human actors that serve as curators and guides throughout the evening. Through a bit of theatricality, a bit of magic and sleight of hand, combined with eye-popping technology, the guide will entertain and immerse guests into new, thrilling scenic environments.”
Brunch and other events, like wine tasting nights, are expected to come later in 2025.
The Gallery is located on 330 W Olympic Boulevard at the corner of Olive Street, and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5PM to 10PM (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays). You can learn more and book a reservation on their website.
