Wildbird Expands with New Location in Culver City

Local fast-casual chicken franchise Wildbird recently opened a new store in Culver City on the block adjacent to the eastern side of the Culver Center along Overland Avenue.

The franchise stands out from other chicken joints across the city by embracing LA’s Mexican roots and health-forward cuisine. In addition to classics like burritos and chicken tacos dorados, you can get Wildbird’s signature bone-in chicken as a quarter bird, half bird, or the entire chicken, with options for a chicken dinner box to make meal prep simple.

Fresh-made tortillas from local tortillerias come with your meal. Your vegetarian friends also don’t have to feel left out: you can build your own market plate  or harvest bowl out of nothing but basic and premium vegetarian sides like roasted sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts, macaroni salad, mac and cheese kale slaw, and charro beans. You can even get Buffalo cauliflower!

Wildbird is present in major foot traffic hubs all over the city, like DTLA, La Brea, and the Hollywood Dome. As the franchise grows, new stores in or adjacent to major shopping and casual dining areas like the Culver Center are a strategic choice. Mixed-use development is rising across the city, with The Ivy at Culver City’s Metro station being one of the best-known examples.

Cobalt Apartments on the corner of Washington Boulevard and Overland Avenue is a smaller and lesser-known example of successful mixed-use development, but just as effective. Several chains occupy the ground-floor storefronts of the low-rise apartment building, and it is walking distance from the Culver Center which features Ralph’s, Best Buy, LA Fitness, furniture stores, a small day spa, and several casual restaurants.

Cobalt may not be as transit-first as The Ivy, but Culver City buses stop outside of the building and the Metro 33 line can be picked up on Venice Boulevard two blocks away, offering service all the way to Venice Beach or DTLA with a stop at Culver City Metro station along the way.

As mixed-use development continues to rise and more franchises move in, look out for a Wildbird coming to your neighborhood.

Wildbird Culver City is located on 10601 Washington Boulevard (entrance on Overland Avenue) and is open daily from 11AM to 10PM.
